Late Model Racing Western Australia
CHANGING IT UP
With the amount of success Warren Oldfield has had over the last seventeen seasons, one would question why he feels the need to change things up.
Seven Pro Dirt Series wins (plus seven other overall top three finishes), forty five Late Model feature race wins (twenty nine of which are Pro Dirt features) and two WA Late Model Titles are an impressive record, but for Warren the recent dry spell is not sitting well and he is ready to make some changes to try and rectify that situation.
“In the off season I sold my Rocket” says Warren. “I have a new car, a 2023 Longhorn, coming, but it won’t be here in time for the start of the series so I’ll start the season in my BWRC Icon and go from there.”
Changing chassis brands after ten years in Rockets is a big decision, but Warren is sure to do whatever it takes in his quest for another big year.
“At this stage the plan is to do all the Pro Dirt Series rounds and the Australian Title” says Warren.
With competition set to be at an all time high, every driver is searching for any advantage they can get, and Warren is looking forward to the challenge of defending his Pro Dirt Series victory, beginning with the Ray Tulk Memorial at Ellenbrook Speedway in exactly one week!!
