PRO DIRT FEATURE WINNERS!
With the 2024/25 Pro Dirt Series just thirty days away, we figured today was a perfect time to look at thirty men who have claimed a Pro Dirt feature win!
There have been a grand total of 290 Pro Dirt feature races held so far, so if everything goes to plan, Albany Speedway will hold number 300 on the 4th of January next year.
Of those 290 features, it is no surprise that the GOAT, the 0 Show, Brad Blake, holds the record with an incredible 71 wins. His first was on the 9th of November 2002 at the Perth Motorplex, with his most recent win at the Ellenbrook Speedway in last seasons opening event.
Second overall is Warren Oldfield, currently sitting on 29 wins. His first was Boxing Day of 2007 at the Motorplex, with his most recent being the 1st of January 2023 at Albany Speedway. He is just one win clear of brother Jamie Oldfield and former Australian Champion Kye Blight who have 29 wins apiece.
Jamie's first win was the 12th of December 2009 at the Motorplex, while Blight claimed his first win at Kalgoorlie on the 5th of December 2015.
The top five winners list is rounded out by Craig Vosbergen who has twenty-three wins from April 2005 through to March 2015. Son Brent is sixth overall with nineteen wins, while the best of the visiting drivers is American Steve Francis who has thirteen wins to be seventh overall.
Ryan Halliday (11 wins), Brad Ludlow (10 wins) and Marc Giancola (7 wins) are the final drivers inside the top ten of overall wins.
The final twenty drivers range from six wins down to one (achieved by eight drivers), with five feature races being cancelled over those years (meaning that heat races were conducted prior to cancellations due to either rain, time constrains or even fence damage!)
It is important to note that these stats are purely from Pro Dirt Series rounds and do not include non point shows, Winter Series rounds and other standalone events... those stats are still being developed!
