GIVING BACK!
The LMRWA has a proud history of giving back to the community and the recent Australian Title event was prime time for the division to do the same once again.
One of the most popular members of the LMRWA community is young Chase Holmes, son of Michael and Deanna, who is always seen around the tracks and the pits, chatting with drivers, having fun, and waving flags.
Young Chase has a very rare condition called Kleefstra Syndrome and given the joy that Chase brings all of us, the LMRWA decided to raise some funds as part of the Title weekend, not to mention some cool things for him, with the help of Gavin and his team at the Plex including pressing the track lights, waving flags, having a ride in a John Day ute and of course meeting Coney.
Items up for grabs included a two-seater ride, a Perth Motorplex seasons pass, a methanol voucher from CTM Recruitment Pty Ltd, plenty of items from Michael Holmes Racing and a nice bottle of red from Ross's Auctioneers & Valuers.
Alisha Crook from Ross's did the auctioneering while American Media Man Ben Shelton helped out the team and they all did a great job, raising $3550 for Jeans 4 Genes.
Incredibly, the two seater ride went for a cool $2k with Paige Bayley the lucky bidder, going for a 2 seater ride that was done last Wednesday as part of the Hump Day Hustle event, with Jamie Oldfield behind the wheel.
A huge thankyou to everyone who took part and here’s to hoping the funds raised work towards some very important research!
