Late Model Racing Western Australia

High Stakes at High Limit!

Round Six of the Pro Dirt Series, presented by McPhee Freight, shapes as a pivotal night in the 2025/26 Late Model Racing Western Australia season, with a strong field set to tackle the Perth Motorplex tomorrow night as part of the High Limit International event

The nomination list is headlined by the return of former series champion Brent Vosbergen. Absent from the previous round, Vosbergen’s reappearance adds immediate intrigue to an already tight championship battle. Renowned for delivering on big nights, his return could have a significant influence as the series moves into its second half.

Michael Holmes arrives with strong momentum after recording back-to-back podium finishes. His growing consistency and confidence, combined with the Motorplex’s emphasis on long green-flag runs, positions Holmes as a genuine contender once again.

Jamie Oldfield also returns firmly in the spotlight. After missing recent meetings, he wasted no time re-establishing himself with a podium finish last time out.
With another meeting under his belt, Oldfield shapes as a major threat.
The absence of last-start winner Kye Blight leaves the door open at the front, ensuring a new winner this weekend and presenting a valuable points opportunity for the rest of the field.

Championship leader Joe Chalmers remains a key figure, with consistency underpinning his campaign. Despite a DNF last time out, Chalmers will be acutely aware that with Vosbergen and Oldfield back in the mix, every position is critical as the points race tightens.

The Oldfield name will again feature prominently, with Jamie joined by Warren and Beau Oldfield. Warren will be looking to rebound after setup changes didn’t pay off last round, while Beau continued his impressive rookie season with a strong fourth-place finish.

Luke Halliday again went close with a fifth-place finish last round and continues to chase a long-awaited podium breakthrough. He is just six points behind Chalmers in the overall series points and is aiming to reduce that gap again this weekend.

Jay Cardy impressed with a heat race win and sixth in the feature, while David Boyes, the returning Damian Hudson and David Nylander rounded out the top ten.

Kenny “The Big Unit” Macpherson will be aiming for a trouble-free night after showing strong pace last round, while the winningest Late Model driver of all time, Brad Blake, returns to the field and can never be discounted.

With proven stars, in-form contenders and the absence of the most recent winner, Round Six of the Pro Dirt Series promises high stakes and unpredictability as the season edges closer to its decisive phase.
