Back In Action!
After a pile of rainouts, the weather seems to have finally cleared and the 2025 Michael Holmes Racing Late Model Winter Series is able to get back underway this weekend at the @PitharaSpeedway.
Eight nominations have been received for this Saturday’s show which starts at 1pm, and with the current top two in points not in the field, it is anyone’s game.
Sydney-sider Bruce Mackenzie currently sits atop the tree, but given that he is currently in America, and second placed Brett Niall is also unable to make the show, it puts current third place holder Jay Bassanelli in the box seat.
Ewan Dickson is only seven points behind in fourth and he too will be hoping to move up the ranks while Nic Marshall is just outside the top five and with a bit of luck finally going his way, should be able to elevate himself also.
Beau Oldfield is in for the weekend and given his experience could well be a threat for the win, while Pro Dirt regulars Nathan Richards and Chris Barrow have also thrown their hats in the ring for a Winter run.
Rounding out the field is Wade Cleary, back aboard the #51, while we welcome Matt Sangston to the field for the first time as he jumps behind the wheel of the #28 machine.
Racing begins this Saturday at the Pithara Speedway from 1pm.
